Who We Are
Foundation for Cancer Care is a registered non-profit organization, established in 2008 by a group of individuals who were interested in enhancing cancer care in West Africa. The organization was registered as Foundation for Cancer Care in West Africa (FCCWA) to reflect the organization’s broader vision of fostering collaborative cancer control and prevention throughout the West African sub-region. The foundation’s core objectives were to stimulate the development of broad partnerships between oncology professionals, private enterprise, and academic institutions, locally and internationally to enhance cancer care and prevention and to establish a clinical facility to provide quality cancer care.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. It was a surprising diagnosis, but by the grace of God and a strong support system, I started treatment. The treatment was not just tough on the body, but it was also financially draining. In the course of my treatment, I was referred to this organization by a Dr in Lakeshore Cancer because I was already low on finances and couldn't cover my radiotherapy treatment. I must confess I was skeptical at first because I wasn't sure the organization will come through for me but to my greatest surprise and glory to God this organization was able to cover the majority of the bill for my radiotherapy treatment. This organization gave me a sense of hope and faith, and for that reason, I am very grateful.
